Collaborate with animators to iterate on character design and bring characters to life through rigging, skinning, and animation techniques. Bonus: Experience with writing Python and using UI frameworks like Qt.
  • For Pipeline Tech Artists: Help design and develop DCC & Unity tools and technology to support artistic vision.
We're excited about you because:
  • You have 5+ years of experience as a technical artist in games.
  • You have experience developing and evolving game art pipelines and tools (Maya and Unity).
  • You demonstrate strong technical skills, including experience with scripting languages like Python and UI frameworks like Qt.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with diverse teams.
  • You hold a strong passion for games and the creative process.
  • You embrace a growth mindset and are eager to learn and contribute.
  • As a Character Tech Artist, you have proven experience creating character rigs and procedural animations, and familiarity with rigging, skinning, and animation techniques. Bonus: Experience working on a live game and supporting live content pipelines.
  • As a Pipeline Tech Artist, you have experience with real-time rendering concepts like writing shaders and monitoring graphics performance, and proficiency in C# programming for developing efficient and maintainable game tools and functionalities. Bonus: Experience with procedurally generated content.
Why you'll love working at Bonfire Studios:
  • Have strong values that include transparency, ownership, and trust. We are a people-first studio that also strives for a high bar of excellence in our creations.
  • Celebrate craft expertise because we are a small, tight-knit group of highly experienced game developers who are as passionate about our team as we are our game.
  • Offer opportunities to learn and contribute beyond your focused discipline in areas of interest or passion.
  • Practice candor and feedback, leveling ourselves and each other up in the process.
  • Play games and have fun together, kindling our own love for games and learning about each other.
